Project – Emiliano Coffee

Client

The client is Emiliano Coffee, a Sacramento based coffee roaster.

Task

Emiliano Coffee requires an e-commerce website design and development, a marketing campaign, and social media accounts.

Wireframe web design

Solution

Several platforms were contemplated to develop the website. WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Next.js with Sanity as a CMS, and lastly payloadCMS.

Sample websites were created with each platform, but ultimately the client decided upon headless CMS with Next.js in the frontend and Sanity as the CMS, due to performance and ease of customization. It was not an easy solution. The client will need access to a NextJS developer but, since the Next framework is gaining popularity, it should not be difficult to hire a freelance developer to work on the site as needed.

Furthermore, the client has asked to provide an overview of Payload CMS and the advantages or disadvantages it offers when compared to Sanity CMS.

Result

The website was developed with Sanity and Next, but it is currently under development with Payload CMS due to the inclusion of SEO, Stripe, authentication, email service courtesy of Resend, and integrated with NextJS right out of the box.
